Club Awards
Our members make a fantastic contribution to both our club and our community, including the visitors to our area. Throughout the year there are various opportunities to nominate your fellow members for an award.

4. Recognition: Members are thanked in The Huey (PPSLSC Newsletter)
Junior Club Person of the Year
1. Criteria: Submissions should address the contribution the member has made to the club’s Mission, Goals and Values
2. How to Nominate: Please fill in the FORM below - Nominations are generally open for around three weeks at the end of each patrol season.
3. Selection Process: Nominations considered and winner selected by the Life Members and Honours Committee.
4. Recognition: Nominees are recognised at our Annual Awards night. The winner has their named printed in our Annual Report and in the Branch Report and receives a gift.
Club Person of the Year
1. Criteria: Submissions should address the contribution the member has made to the club’s Mission, Goals and Values.
2. How to Nominate: Please fill in the FORM below - Nominations are generally open for around three weeks at the end of each patrol season.
3. Selection Process: Nominations considered and winner selected by the Life Members and Honours Committee.
4. Recognition: Nominees are recognised at our Annual Awards night.The winner has their named printed in our Annual Report and in the Branch Report and receives a gift.
Distinguished Service Award
1. Criteria: A member who has performed services that are a major contribution in the activities, direction or promotion of the Club. The award is open to all categories of Club membership irrespective of years of service.
The above criteria are only a guide and not a guarantee that the award will be granted.
Applications for this award may only be submitted to the LMHC for an individual once every two years.
2. How to Nominate: Please fill in the FORM below - Nominations are open all year round.
3. Selection Process: A nominee for this award must be nominated by two active members of the Club each with five (5) years minimum membership with the Club. Nominations considered and determined by the Life Members and Honours Committee within 12 months of receipt.
4. Recognition: Recipients announced at our Annual Awards night or AGM. Recipients have their name printed in our Annual Report and in the Branch Report and on the Club Honour Boards. In addition they will receive a gift.
Honour Service Award
1. Criteria: A member who has:
a. Completed a minimum of ten (10) years active service or a minimum of fifteen (15) years non active membership of the Club AND
b. Served on Club Committee(s) for a minimum of five (5) years.
The above criteria are no guarantee that the award will be granted.
Nominations of a member for Honour Service Award may be submitted to the LMHC Sub Committee only once every two years.

3. Selection Process: A nominee for this award must be nominated by two active members of the Club each with five (5) years minimum membership with the Club. Nominations considered and determined by the Life Members and Honours Committee within 12 months of receipt.
4. Recognition: Recipients announced at our Annual Awards night or AGM. Recipients have their name printed in our Annual Report and in the Branch Report and on the Club Honour Boards.
Life Membership
1. Criteria: A member who has;
a. Completed a minimum of fifteen (15) years active service with the Club (or qualifies for an exemption as per the SLSA guidelines) or twenty (20) years non active service to the Club may be nominated for Life Membership of the Club AND
b. Served on Club Committee(s) for a minimum of five (5) years if an active member, or seven (7) years if a non-active member.
The above criteria are no guarantee that the award will be granted.
Applications for this award may only be submitted to the Life Membership and Honours Sub Committee for an individual once every two (2) years.
2. How to Nominate: Please fill in the FORM below - Nominations are open all year round. A nominee for this award must be nominated by two active members of the Club each with five (5) years minimum membership with the Club.
3. Selection Process: Nominations considered and determined by the Life Members and Honours Committee within 12 months of receipt.
4. Recognition: Recipients announced at our Annual Awards night or AGM. Recipients have their name printed in our Annual Report and in the Branch Report and on the Club Honour Boards. Recipients receive a club blazer and a plaque.
